People At School, Who Am I Adapted Book

This Back to School Adapted Book, "People at School, Who Am I"  focuses on the -Wh Question word, "Who," and teaches students about the people we meet at school..This book focuses on school themed vocabulary and basic comprehension skills by having students answer the basic the question, "Who?"

In this activity, a teacher or therapist reads the story, as students follow along and answer the riddle on each page, by choosing the correct interactive matching piece. 

Sample Text:

"I am the person who

makes your ride fun.

I drive you to school,

and back home when you're done.

Who am I?  (turn page)

I am the bus driver.  I drive students to and from school each day"

"I am the person who 

teaches the class.

I help students learn,

and make sure that they pass.

Who am I? (turn page)

I am the teacher. I help students learn and work hard all day."

After the story, you can expand the activity by using the question cards provided.  These question cards focus on different types of "Who" questions, and are differentiated for multiple learning levels. Students answer the questions by choosing the correct matching pieces provided.

Students working at an independent level can read and work through the book at a literacy center or independent work station.
