This Thanksgiving Adapted Book, "Where is Pilgrim Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the pilgrim's position in relation to the colored horse or horses on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Pilgrim hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (next to) the gray horse,
As we can plainly see!"
