This Halloween Adapted Book, "Where is Mummy Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the mummy's position in relation to the colored ghost or ghosts on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Mummy hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (in front of ) the green bat,
As we can plainly see!"
