Pumpkin Adapted Books With Both Music and Movement
These Pumpkin Adapted Books now include both music and movement! "The Pumpkins in the Patch," (Adapted Song Book) and "Moving Through the Pumpkin Patch" (Movement Book) teach pumpkin themed vocabulary words through both music and movement.
Adapted Song Books teach common vocabulary words through songs. "The Pumpkins In the Patch" is sung to the familiar tune, "The Wheels on the Bus." This Adapted Song Book that teaches "pumpkin parts" vocabulary words.
Sample Verse:
"The pumpkins in the patch have shiny skin,
Shiny skin, shiny skin.
The pumpkins in the patch have shiny skin.
Ooooh what a patch!
The pumpkins in the patch have sturdy stems,
Sturdy stems, sturdy stems.
The pumpkins in the patch have sturdy stems.
Ooooh what a patch!"
Students match the pictures and sing along as the teacher or therapist sings the song and moves through the pages. Students will learn the parts of the pumpkin through the song.
After the song is complete, students engage in a sorting activity that focuses on classifying parts of a pumpkin and parts of an apple.
These are fun pumpkin themed activities that work well during fall or Halloween themed units. (Although there is no mention of Halloween in them!) ;)
