Halloween Adapted Book--"Who Am I?"
This Halloween Adapted Book, "Halloween, Who Am I?" focuses on the -Wh Question word, "Who," and focuses on identifying Halloween costumes vocabulary, and basic comprehension skills by having students answer the question, "Who?"
In this activity, a teacher or therapist reads the story, as students follow along and answer the riddle on each page, by choosing the correct interactive matching piece.
Sample Text:
"I'm dressed like the person
who wears a black hat,
and has her own cauldron
and broomstick and cat.
Who Am I?
I am the witch. My purple dress and pointy shoes make a great Halloween costume."
After the story, you can expand the activity by using the question cards provided. These question cards focus on different types of "Who" questions, and are differentiated for multiple learning levels. Students answer the questions by choosing the correct matching pieces provided.
Students working at an independent level can read and work through the book at a literacy center or independent work station.
