"I See" People at School Adapted Book (w-Real Photos)

This Back to School Adapted Book, "I See People At School" (w/Real Photos) focuses on identifying people at school and making inferences. Students identify people by attribute, feature or job description by listening to a clue and looking at real photos.

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads through the book with students as students try to solve each riddle by identifying the person at school and matching piece that best fits the description.

Sample Text:

"I see. I see.
Who can it be?
It's the person who stays in our classroom and teaches how to read, write and do math...

(Students find the picture and turn the page to see the answer revealed.)

It's the teacher!
That's right!
A teacher stays in our classroom and teaches us how to read, write and do math."

After the students have worked through the book, there is an extension activity included where they can practice creating their own riddles. Students working independently may work through the book at a literacy center.
