What's Missing? School Routines Adapted Book
This Adapted Book, "What's Missing? School Routines Edition" focuses on problem solving skills, and the "Wh-" question word, "What?"
In this activity, students are asked to complete a task. They are given a group of objects, but something is missing. They must look at the group of objects and figure out what is missing to complete the task.
For example in this school routines edition, students are asked to do their work. They are shown a picture of a desk, a chair and a piece of paper. Students are asked to look at the group of pictures and figure out that the pencil is missing.
Sample text:
"Hey! Hey! What do you say?
We need to do our work today!
What's missing?"
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the book to a small group of students, and students must choose the correct answer from a field of pictures.
Students working at an independent level, can read and work through the book at a literacy center or work station.
