"Rudy The Reindeer" and "The Hungry Hungry Reindeer
These Reindeer Adapted, "Rudy The Reindeer," and "Hungry Hungry Reindeer," focus on number identification, number words and basic counting in a fun and interactive way.
In "Rudy The Reindeer," students can sing along, find a number and count as all of the reindeer friends join Rudy on his flight with Santa. This book is sung to the tune "Sally the Camel," and a sample verse goes like this:
Sample Verse:
Rudy the Reindeer has 1 friend.
Rudy the Reindeer has 1 friend.
Rudy the Reindeer has 1 friend.
So fly Rudy fly! (But not yet)
Students will add a reindeer to each page, find and match a number, and continue until the sleigh is loaded with 8 reindeer and 1 Santa! :)
There is also a set of clip cards that goes along with this book for extra practice, and a set of puppets included so that students can put the reindeer in number order.
In the second adapted book, "The Hungry Hungry Reindeer," Santa's reindeer is very hungry and needs to be fed. But which carrot should we feed him? A therapist or teacher will read the book to students, as students follow along and find the correct carrot and feed it to the reindeer.

Hungry Hungry Reindeer having so much fun.
Feed Reindeer carrot number one.
Hungry Hungry Reindeer with lots and lots to do.
Feed Reindeer carrot number two.
