Chick Themed Adapted Books
These Chick Adapted Books, "Hungry Hungry Chick" and "Which One Will Hatch?" focus on , number identification, identifying number words, basic matching skills and making a prediction in a fun and interactive way.
In the first adapted book, "The Hungry Hungry Chick," our little chick is very hungry and needs to be fed. But which worm should we feed him? A therapist or teacher will read the book to students, as students follow along and find the worm by identifying a number and feed it to the chick.
Sample Rhyme:
Hungry Hungry Chick--he likes to peck for fun.
Feed Chick, worm number one.
In the second book, "Which Chick Will Hatch?" students look at an egg and decide which chick will hatch by listening to the clue and looking for the correct matching chick.
