"Plant a Garden" Adapted Song Book
These Garden Adapted Books now include both music and movement! "Plant a Garden" (Adapted Song Book) and "Moving Near The Garden" (Movement Book) teach spring themed vocabulary words through both music and movement.
The Adapted Book, "Plant A Garden," is sung to the familiar tune, "Oh My Darling Clementine," and teaches spring vocabulary through song.
Sample Verse:
"Plant a garden. Plant a garden.
Plant a garden, watch it grow.
Put our gloves on.
Grab our trowel.
Get our shovel.
Get our hoe!"
Students match the pictures and sing along as the teacher or therapist sings the song and moves through the pages. After the song is complete, students engage in a sorting activity that focuses on classifying spring and winter themed pictures.
UPDATE! I have just updated this set to include two books! Also included is a "Movement Book," that focuses on gross motor skills or motor planning, following directions and imitation skills. I have also included "Movement Cards," that go along with the book.
